As part of efforts to ensure inclusivity in his administration, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved the nomination of Bashir Lawandi Datti – Jos North, Dr Cletus Shurkuk- Pankshin, and Mrs Jamila Tukur – Qua’an Pan for consideration Commissioners into the executive council.
In a statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Gyang Bere, it was revealed that the additional nominees became necessary following extensive consultations with key stakeholders across the State.
The new nominees brings the total number of persons whose names were listed as commissioners so far to 19, forwarded to the State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
Earlier, the governor had nominated 16 persons for consideration as Commissioner, which were forwarded to the Plateau State House of Assembly in accordance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as Amended.
The nominees are expected to be screened by the Plateau State House of Assembly this week as the State Assembly Complex in Jos.
