Christmas Celebration: Governor Mutfwang charges Youths to be Vigilant, announces January 1st 2024 Mega Musical Concert in Jos

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang has charge Plateau Youths to be very vigilant during the yuletide season. The Governor made this call on Friday 22nd December 2023 at Langfield Leasure Park, Little Rayfield Venue of the Hangout with Plateau Youths.

The Governor who prayed that the Christmas Celebration be done peacefully however said that “we can not do so except the youths are very Vigilant, because you are the defenders of the community, you are the people that determine what happens in every community. When there is trouble you put together yourselves and advise the elders on what to do”.

Governor Mutfwang celebrated the character of Plateau Youths who according to him “…are not lazy, the youths of Plateau are not drug addicts, the youths of Plateau are productive, they are intelligent, they are hardworking and they are contributing daily to the peace and progress of Plateau.”.

He affirmed that in 2024, the Youths will see tangible engagements from his administration. He announced that on the 1st January 2024, there will be a Mega Musical Festival in Jos and Jos will receive visitors, adding that businesses in Jos will benefit.

Governor Mutfwang also stated that plans are on the way to ensure that youths who are in school are motivated and activities in vocational schools increase as part of efforts to ensure that Plateau youths are gainfully employed.

The Governor was accompanied by the Honorable Commissioner for Youths and Sports Lawandi Datti, the Chief Medical Director of the Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Prof Chris Yilgwan and many others. High points of the event was the presentation of a clothing material by the youths for the to sew Christmas clothes.
