The Executive Director, Beautiful Gate Handicap People’s Center Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan has called on government at all levels to prioritize rural communities in Infrastructural developmental plans and the provision of social amenities and services. This according to him will make life easy for rural dwellers as they carry out their day-to-day activities.
He made this call on Saturday 29th December 2023 at the Palace of the Ra’an Jhar Alhaji Mamud Maikano in Dogon-Ruwa, Kantana Constituency, Kanam LGA of Plateau State while presenting 30 tri-cycle wheel chairs to the monarch for on ward distribution.
Chief Ayuba narrated how the monarch, who is the first graded Chief to visit the Beautiful Gate Handicap People’s Center came soliciting for some wheelchairs for his people who are in dire need. And in response Chief Ayuba decided to travel all the way to Dogon-Ruwa, through Bauchi State; navigating through very difficult roads because of the absence of road infrastructure linking Dogon-Ruwa with the rest of Kanam LGA of Plateau State.
He urged government, especially the Plateau State Government to intervene in linking Dogon-Ruwa with road infrastructure to Dengi, the headquarters of Kanam LGA in order to make life easy for them. He also called on government to help provide social amenities and basic social services for the people in rural communities.
While presenting the wheelchairs to some of the beneficiaries, Chief Ayuba charged them to put them to good use. He noted that as part of the philosophy of Beautiful Gate, physical challenge is not a the kiss of death, hence the wheel chairs provided should enable them pursue education, learn a vocational skill and start a trade in order to become useful and productive members of the society.
In his remarks the paramount ruler of the Jhar Nation World Wide, the Ra’an Jhar, Alhaji Mamud Maikano thanked Beautiful Gate Handicap People’s Center for their show of Love, solidarity and intervention. He noted that if the wheelchairs were going to be purchase, it would have cost them a fortune, but thanks to Beautiful Gate, they have been provided and transported all the to Rogon-Ruwa for free. He expressed gratitude to God for using Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan to touch lives across Africa and prayed God to continue to strengthen and bless Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan and his team at the Beautiful Gate Handicap People’s Center, Jos.
