Humanitarian Affairs Minister’s Suspension: Group says Beta Edu a patriotic minister, says her ordeal a high level conspiracy

A group by the name The Coalition of Democratic Youths for Justice and Equity has said that the Suspended Humanitarian Affairs Dr Betta Edu is a patriotic Minister, and have passed a vote of confidence on to continue.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the group, Hon. Sadiq K. Abdul in Jos, on Thursday 11th January 2024, the group stated that Dr. Beta Edu since assumptions of office has committed herself in to service to humanity and empowerment of the less privilege in the society.

He added that Dr. Beta has paid FG Palliative into the accounts of Nigerians and has reactivated the N-Power scheme.

He described her ordeal which led to her suspension as “a high level conspiracy to bring the hardworking minister down due to her effort to outshine those before her who couldn’t do anything tangible in the ministries”. The coalition vowed to defend Dr. Beta Edu and educate the country through a world press conference which they said will be addressed soonest.

Recall that the Dr Bette Edu was suspended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Minister following allegation of financial misappropriation and diversion of funds running into hundreds of billions. She is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
