In the spirit of activity which Azzuzuama, Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa State is known for, especially when it involves sporting activities, The Eyewei (V) of Azuzuama, HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi (aka General Young Shall Grow) in his usual passionate show of Love and unity today Tuesday 16th January, 2024 hosted a female novelty football match in his honor, to foster unity between Azzuzuama and neighboring communities.
It was an interesting encounter with visiting Olodi Queens of Korokorosei Community playing their host Eyewei Queens of Azuzuama Community. In his usual tradition, HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi (Eyewei V) being a lover of any activity that promotes peace and unity, he was present to take the kickoff at the sound of the whistle by the center referee.
At the start of the game The Olodi Queens of Korokorosei pushed up the high-press, expecting to overrun their host the Eyewei Queens. The Eyewei Queens surprisingly put up a very good show by making the game difficult for the Olodi Queens.
As the game progressed, it became an intensed encounter that left spectators on the edge of their seats. The pressure paid off at the end of the game. The fitness of the Eyewei Queens was put to test and gave in with the Olodi Queens winning that match with a narrow 2-1 scoreline.
