The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Prince Pam D Mwadkon of the Action Democratic Party as winner of the Saturday 3rd February 2024 Senatorial rerun in Plateau North Senatorial District. Declaring the result in the early hours of Monday 5th February after hours of collation, returning Officer for the Plateau North Rerun, Prof Monday Nesto Chagok said that Prince Pam Mwadkon scored 122,442 Votes to defeat the closest opponent Yakub Muhammad Safiu of the NNPP who scored 53,980 votes. Hon Chris Giwa of the APC came third with APC 39,132 votes, while Barrister Gyamg Zi of the LP came 4th with 33,243 votes. Prof Chagok said that Prince Madkon Haven pulled the total number of valid votes is returned elected.
In a related development, the Returning Officer of the Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency Rerun Pro James Garbe has declared the candidate of the Labour Party, Daniel Asama as the winner of the
rerun election conducted on Saturday 3rd February 2024. Asama pulled 66,422 votes to defeat his closest contender Muhammad Alkali Gwani of the PRP who scored 61,670 votes. The candidate of the APC Ibrahim Baba Hassan came 3rd pulling 10,063 votes. Prof Garba said that Asama Haven pulled the highest number of lawful votes is returned elected.
