The General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army/ Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN Maj Gen Ibrahim Ali charged officers to embrace digital technology to improve security in the country.
Maj Gen Ali gave the charge on Wednesday 13 Oct 2021, while delivering his opening remarks at the sensitisation lecture organised on the use of Digital Emergency Alert and Tracking Application at Headquarters 3 Division Nigerian Army Jos. The GOC noted that the current security challenges call for the use of technology to overcome them.
Mr Atai Akpan, a resource person and a digital transformation expert, during his presentation, noted that the application of digital technology would be useful against crimes such as kidnapping, banditry and other crimes.
The presentation featured interactive session and practical session, where the use of the application was demonstrated to the officers.
