Executive Chairman Kanke LGA swears in New Supervisory Councillor, Special Advisers

The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip has officially sworn in members of his executive cabinet yesterday Tuesday, 14th June, 2022. This follows after a Successful screening by the Legislative Arm of Kanke Local Government Council led by the Legislative leader Hon. Golu at the Legislative Chamber in Kwal, Kanke Local Government Council headquarters.

Hon. Henry Jan Gotip in a welcoming and congratulatory address, informed the newly sworn-in Supervisory Councillors and Advisers that Kanke is a very peaceful Local Government, he urged them to work hand-in-hand and in unity to bring in good tidings, developmental ideas that will promote the council.

In his own words “Today’s appointment is beyond vain rhetorical and political display. It is rather a call to service, service to Kanke Local Government Area, service to Plateau State and service to Nigeria. To whom much is given, much is expected, so much more is expected from all of you as you kick-start your new engagement today”.

He also urged the cabinet members to be exceptional in the discharge of their respective duties and as an ambassador of the local council, there is need for them to come up with realistic ideas that will enable the communities feel the impact of this administration better than before.

The Local Government Boss appreciated the people of Plateau for unanimously voting one of it’s son Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe as the APC flag-bearer for the upcoming 2023 general election. He assured the people of Plateau that with this development Plateau State will be producing another JD Gomwalk come 2023.

While delivering oat of office,  the Oath Commissioner Jk Chris  Esq. charged the newly appointed supervisory Councillors and advisers to be diligent in the discharge of their duties and to be loyal to the local government administration. He stressed that oath administered to them is a serious business and urged them to leave up to expectation in their respective duties and offices.

Speaking at the event Former Secretary to the Government of Plateau State Nde John Gobak admonished the  newly sworn in supervisory councillors to be dedicated to their duty and support the Chairman as he delivers on the mandate given Him, He praised the Unity and harmonious relationship  amongst the people of Kanke LGA, as this will propel them to victory in the forthcoming 2023 governorship elections as Dr Nentawe is a credible candidate that will provide the required leadership and Unity Plateau State has been yearning for.

Goodwill messages were received from , Nde Simon Ngwan, former TIC Chairman and house member Nde Zachariah Golshang, former Council Chairman Hon. John Gotau (Maikudi) and the representative of the traditional council Kanke Local Government Ngolong Gugur . They all stressed the need for the unity of the Ngas people as without unity their won’t be peaceful atmosphere for development.
